About Us

Wolf Creek Contracting is a commercial and industrial general contractor headquartered outside Marietta, Ohio. Since 2008 we've built across three divisions — general contracting, concrete, and civil/site work — self-performing most major trades rather than brokering the work out. We run jobs throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.

We run by one standard, in this order: Safety, Quality, Production. Our EMR is 0.47, and we intend to keep it there.

The Role

We're hiring General Construction Laborers to support crews across all three divisions. This is the job where you learn the trade — you'll work alongside carpenters, finishers, and operators, and the people who pay attention move up.

No experience required. Show up on time, work safe, and want to learn. We'll teach the rest.

What You'll Do

• Support carpenters, concrete finishers, and equipment operators on daily tasks
• Load, unload, stage, and move materials, tools, and equipment
• Assist with formwork setup, stripping, cleaning, and oiling forms
• Tie rebar, set embeds, and help with pour prep
• Assist with concrete placement — pulling hose, moving chute, shoveling, screeding
• Dig, backfill, grade, and hand-work trenches and site areas
• Operate hand and small power tools; run compactors, saws, and mixers as trained
• Perform demolition and removal work
• Set up and take down barricades, signage, silt fence, and traffic control
• Keep the job site clean and organized — daily housekeeping is part of the job, not an afterthought
• Support ICRA containment setup on healthcare projects (training provided)
• Attend daily huddles, JHAs, and toolbox talks; wear your PPE, every day

What You Bring

Required

• Reliability — show up on time, every scheduled day
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, and to bend, kneel, climb, and stand through a full shift
• Willingness to work outdoors in heat, cold, and weather
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work as part of a crew
• Reliable transportation to the yard or job site
• Willingness to travel — jobs regularly run an hour or more from Marietta, with per-diem work in our multi-state footprint
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and meet client site requirements
• 18 years or older

Preferred

• Any prior construction, agricultural, industrial, warehouse, or skilled-trade experience
• OSHA 10
• Valid driver's license
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Flagging, forklift, or skid steer experience
• Interest in learning a trade — tell us which one

Travel Expectations

Our work radiates out from the Marietta/Mid-Ohio Valley region. Most projects sit within a one- to two-hour drive, and some run further into our multi-state footprint with per-diem and lodging covered. Applicants must be genuinely willing to travel beyond an hour from Marietta. If you need to be home every night by 4:30, this isn't the right fit — better we're straight with each other now.
