About Us

Wolf Creek Contracting is a commercial and industrial general contractor headquartered outside Marietta, Ohio. Since 2008 we've built across three divisions — general contracting, concrete, and civil/site work — self-performing most major trades rather than brokering the work out. We run jobs throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.

We run by one standard, in this order: Safety, Quality, Production. Our EMR is 0.47, and we intend to keep it there.

The Role

We're hiring a Superintendent to own the field on commercial builds, self-perform concrete work, and civil/site packages. You are the person on the ground who decides how the day goes — sequencing crews, holding subs to the schedule, keeping the job safe, and making the call when the plan meets the dirt.

This is not a desk job with a hard hat on the coat rack. You'll be on site.

What You'll Do

• Run day-to-day field operations on assigned projects from mobilization through closeout
• Lead and sequence self-perform crews — concrete (Div 3 & 32), site work, and general trades
• Schedule, coordinate, and hold accountable all subcontractors and material deliveries
• Own site safety: daily huddles, JHAs, toolbox talks, OSHA compliance, and stopping work when it needs stopping
• Read and work from plans and specs; catch conflicts before they cost money
• Manage layout, grades, forming, pours, and finishing on concrete and civil scopes
• Track production against schedule and budget; flag slippage early, not at the end
• Coordinate daily with the Construction Manager and Construction Administrator
• Manage quality control and punch list; deliver work that doesn't come back
• Maintain daily reports, manpower logs, photos, and field documentation
• Interface with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors professionally
• Run ICRA protocols on healthcare projects (training provided if you don't have it)

What You Bring

Required

• 5+ years running commercial or industrial construction projects as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or working Foreman
• Hands-on knowledge of at least two of our three divisions: general contracting, concrete, civil/site
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and shop drawings
• OSHA 30 (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Willingness to travel — jobs regularly run an hour or more from Marietta, with per-diem work in our multi-state footprint
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and meet client site requirements

Preferred

• ICRA certification or healthcare construction experience
• Concrete self-perform background — forming, placement, finishing, flatwork tolerances
• Site/utility experience: earthwork, storm, sanitary, water
• First Aid/CPR, competent person training (excavation, fall protection, scaffolding)
• Procore, Bluebeam, or comparable field software
• Prior experience running multiple crews across concurrent projects

Travel Expectations

Our work radiates out from the Marietta/Mid-Ohio Valley region. Most projects sit within a one- to two-hour drive, and some run further into our multi-state footprint with per-diem and lodging covered.
