Wolf Creek Contracting is a commercial and industrial general contractor headquartered outside Marietta, Ohio. Since 2008 we've built across three divisions — general contracting, concrete, and civil/site work — self-performing most major trades rather than brokering the work out. We run jobs throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.

We run by one standard, in this order: Safety, Quality, Production. Our EMR is 0.47, and we intend to keep it there.

Concrete is one of our three divisions and has been for 15+ years — Division 3 and Division 32 work, self-performed with our own crews. We're hiring Concrete Finishers who take pride in flatwork that reads flat, joints that line up, and edges that don't need explaining.

Pours start early and you stay until the slab is right. If that's how you already work, we want to talk.

• Place, screed, bull float, and finish structural and architectural concrete
• Run power trowels, walk-behinds, ride-ons, edgers, and hand tools
• Hold flatwork to specified tolerances (F-numbers where the spec calls for them)
• Cut and tool control joints, expansion joints, and saw cuts on schedule
• Finish flatwork, sidewalks, curb and gutter, ramps, pads, and elevated decks
• Apply broom, trowel, exposed aggregate, stamped, and specialty finishes
• Install and verify ADA-compliant slopes, landings, and detectable warnings
• Apply curing compounds, sealers, and hardeners; protect green concrete
• Assist with formwork, rebar placement, embeds, and pour prep as needed
• Perform patch, repair, grinding, and remediation work
• Read grade stakes and elevations; check depth and pitch before the truck backs in
• Participate in daily huddles, JHAs, and toolbox talks; keep the pour area safe and clean
• Communicate early with the Foreman or Superintendent when weather, mix, or timing is going sideways

Required

• 2+ years finishing commercial concrete (flatwork at minimum)
• Proficiency with power trowels and standard finishing tools
• Understanding of set times, weather effects, and when to get on the slab
• Ability to work early starts, long pour days, and occasional night or weekend pours
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly, kneel, bend, and stay on your feet through a full shift
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the yard or job site
• Willingness to travel — jobs regularly run an hour or more from Marietta, with per-diem work in our multi-state footprint
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and meet client site requirements

Preferred

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• ACI Concrete Flatwork Finisher certification
• Decorative, polished, or architectural finish experience
• Elevated deck and structural slab experience
• Formwork or rebar background — we cross-train and pay for range
• Curb machine or laser screed operation
• ICRA certification or healthcare construction background
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus on our larger crews

• $27–$40 per hour, based on experience and certifications

Our work radiates out from the Marietta/Mid-Ohio Valley region. Most projects sit within a one- to two-hour drive, and some run further into our multi-state footprint with per-diem and lodging covered. Candidates must be genuinely willing to travel beyond an hour from Marietta. If you need to be home every night by 4:30, this isn't the right fit — better we're straight with each other now.
